Quality of food
This restaurants is one of my favourites. The food is top-notch, fresh, tasty and plentiful.
Quality of service
Eat in and the service is friendly and efficient with a complimentary brandy to finish off your meal. Take-away and these guys will give you a seat and complimentary bombay mix to nibble on while you drink your complimentary 1/2 lager ... only if you turn up and order ... not if you telephone ahead.
Variety on menu
Some of the curries have different names and some I have never tasted before. They will however make you ANY curry you ask for if you describe your likes and dislikes and they don't charge you through the nose either. Oh yes ... if you don't like hot curries you HAVE to try the King Prawn Shashlik ... probably the best one I have ever tried (obviously I tried the one my girlfriend had ordered!).
Decor & ambience
This place has recently had a refit and so eating here is enjoyable and comfortable.
Location
Smack bang on Twickenham Green and so plenty of pubs around to start off in if you choose. Buses stop just along the road and these guys will get you a cab if you ask and have been known to ply you with more free beer while you wait if there is a delay.
Cost
Put it this way ... if you are a greedy feller like me, you will be hard pushed to spend £15-£20 without being fully stuffed and watered!
In summary
If you know the Twickenham, Teddington, Whitton and Hounslow areas, you will know that there is a plethora of curry houses. Some are great, some are okay and some are downright awfull. The Green Spice is in my Top 3 Curry Houses ever ... exceptional food, great environment, great service and great price. I would definitely recommend this to anyone ... whether you eat in or take-away.
